Disease background

In developed countries, NHL is one of the most common cancers in men and women1. Each year, there are approximately 287,000 new cases of NHL worldwide2. NHL occurs equally in men and women and is relatively unusual in adults under the age of 50 years, although there are exceptions, such as mantle cell lymphoma, which predominantly occurs in men, or Burkitt's lymphoma, which occurs frequently in younger people.
